Tutorial - Dahlia's

Vanaf september zal er iedere dag iets nieuws te vinden zijn hier op ons blog. Vandaag is het dus mijn beurt! Ik wil jullie vandaag laten zien hoe je deze Dahlias kunt maken uit papier.


Je hebt hiervoor nodig de Retro Flower ponsen in formaat Large en Medium, Distress Inkt, Embossingpen, Matje en een vouwbeen.


Om de grote bloemen te maken pons je 2 bloemen met je Large pons en 2 met je Medium pons (1 bedrukt papier en 1 blanco papier). Beinkt de randjes van de bloemen met Distress Inkt.


Bol de blaadjes van je bloem met bijvoorbeeld een embossing pen. Maak in het midden een gaatje voor je splitpen. Maak vervolgens een vouw in ieder blaadje.



Spray de bloemen in met Glimmer Mist en ga ze vervolgens in elkaar zetten - leg 2 kleine bloempjes op elkaar (bedrukt papier bovenop) en leg deze vervolgens op 2 grote bloemen. Zet alles vast met een splitpen.

My Minds Eye

Today I have a matchbook treat pouch to share with you - I have made a few of these for my grandson to give to his teachers at the end of term.  It’s been filled with chocolates – yum!

I have used Whiff of Joy image and coloured it with distress inks.  The papers are MME Love Nest – love the aqua, pink and brown colours in this pad. Thanks so much for stopping by,

Multishaper punches

I received a  Multishaper punch from Create4Fun this week– this one is called Martha.  I have only used it to punch the border but it does so much more – all sorts of different shapes in different sizes, the one punch does borders and corners that connect to make squares, hexagons, pentagons – some do circles and ovals too (I just need to find the time to play and experiment so watch this space – as soon as I get a chance I will post some samples on the blog). 

I love the intricate pattern from this punch, I only used paper for punching, I think you would have a problem trying to punch card because it is so detailed.

Spellbinders flowers

Hello!  Today I have a card to share using a few different Spellbinders Nestibilities.  For the image I have used the Nestibilities Long Rectangles, these are wonderful for longer images.

A close up of the flowers which have been die-cut with Nestibilities Peony dies. I stamped some aqua card with a Hero Arts Cling Friends Definition stamp, then inked around the edges with distress inks and popped a pearl brad in the centre.

I also stitched around the Basic Grey papers with a sewing machine.

One for the boys

Today I have a boys card to share. 

 

I have distressed the edges of the paper with a distressing tool, Antique Linen distress ink, then I have used my sewing machine  to stitch around the borders of the card and mat layer then applied Ranger Picket Fence Distress Paint to the edges and around the Adage Ticket sentiment. 

The punched borders are done with an EK Success Binding Edge punch.  The papers are Bo Bunny So Sophie and the teal card is Colorcore.

The image has been coloured with Ranger Distress Ink re-inkers and Twinkling H2O’s

Just Cute Bears

Today I would like to share a card that I made using DCWV Sweet paper stack.   I have also used the largest scalloped die from the Large and Small Nestibilities circle dies for a change.  Everything has been edged with Stickles Star Dust glitter glue.

I’ve coloured the image with copics: Bear E30, 31, 33, E11, E13; Dress RV10, RV11, RV34; Mixing Bowl E30; BV0000, BV01; Cake Tin and shadows C00, C0, C1, C3, C5

Spellbinders dies

Today I have a card to share using my most favourite border die - the Spellbinders Grand Classic Lace border die.  It is just so pretty and I love that you get the added dimension from the embossing.

The image is stamped on to a Spellbinders Octagon die, and this is matted on to a Spellbinders Scalloped Octagon die.  The card that I have used to mat the image on to is Colorcore Sugar and Spice card stock.

Wedding set

Today I want to share a wedding set that I made for the MagnoliaInk 2 magazine.

I used a sewing machine to stitch around the papers on the card, and the image was stamped on to a Nestibility Labels Four die. 

And to make the bag I cut some hearts with the Nestibilities Hearts and Scalloped Hearts dies, and punched a border on both sides for the handle.  The hearts were joined together with a strip of matching card.

DCWV Sweet Stack

Happy Easter!

Here's a card I have made with one of the new Magnolia stamps and the DCWV Sweet Stack.  I just love this stack, the colours are so pretty.  The border along the side of the gatefold I have cut from one of the sheets from the Sweet Stack.

I have used Spellbinders Labels 4 Nestibilities for the image and sentiment inside, and have machine stitched around the papers

Marianne Creatables flower dies tutorial

Hello, today I am going to share how I assemble the flower that I have made with the Marianne Creatables flower die that I have used on this card

You will need the dies of your choice, some card or designer paper, ribbon, tweezers, scissors and strong double sided tape.

With the front of the flower facing you, start by threading the ribbon through one of the slits on the petal and down through the centre hole, then back up through the next petal till you have threaded the ribbon through each petal.

Apply some strong double sided tape to the last petal and trim and stick down the ribbon.

Use a brad to join the top layer of the flower to the base then edge the petals with Stickles glitter glue

Sweet mother

The gorgeous flower on the card I am sharing today was made with Marianne Designs Creatables die cut flowers.  I threaded narrow organza ribbon through the slits on each petal and popped a pearl brad in the centre.

Midnight Waiting

Today I have a fairy card to share.

I have used DCWV papers from the Old World stack and the card is Colorcore Montego Bay.  The swirl is another of my concoctions, again I just lightly sketched a swirl and this time used different sized pearls which were stuck over the sketching.  The leaf stem punch is by Punch Bunch.

Easter Basket - Paper Weaving

I have made a paper weaving basket for the Just Magnolia challenge, and have used some Martha Stewart punches: deep edge  Doily Lace and Doily Lace.  I have used oval and scalloped oval nestibilities for the images, and a McGill Botanical Pine Punch for the leaves.

A card from me

I made this card for this week's Create4Fun challenge.

I love the new Martha Stewart border punches and have used the new Doily Lace punch for the lacy borders.  I have also used the old Doily Lace punch on the petals of the large flower that has been punched with EK Success Retro Flower punch large
